It is a scenic resort of provincial level located among the precipitous peaks and severed gorges that extends 13 kilometers southeast of the county seat of Zhouning, and it is reputed as No.1 in Fujian and Unmatched in East China. 

 

Jiulongji Waterfall Group has a total drop of 300 meters; nine continuous steps of different height of drop with a total length of 1000 meters penetrate the valley and form the unique flying waterfalls and deep pond. Among them, the first step waterfall is the most magnificent. It is 46.7 meters high, 76 meters wide (83 meters wide during rainy period).  On the upper right of the huge waterfall, there is an inlaid pond named "Dragon’s Eye" with a diameter of 14 meters. The fourth step waterfall is called "Dragon’s Teeth" with a length of 46 meters. Surrounding Jiulongji Waterfall Group are the high-rising ranges of mountains with queer peaks and odd stones that are lively and beautiful, such as "Pigeon Peak", "Goldfish Peak", "Soaring Dragon Peak", "Camel Peak", "Toad Climbing Wall", "Stone Monkey Looking at Waterfall" etc.
